European Circuits is delighted to be the chosen manufacturer of Aston Microphone’s new award winning Starlight microphone.

The Aston Starlight is the first ever laser targeting pencil microphone, allowing for recall of mic position in studio use, an incredibly quick and easy to set up in live applications. This truly astonishing microphone also showcases Aston’s variable voice switching for sound contouring, nearly indestructible build qualities, their signature sintered head and Aston’s, now famous, tumbled 100% stainless steel chassis.

The mic’ features a 20mm cardioid capsule, hand-picked by a panel of more than 50 top producers in double blind listening tests conducted during 2016. Starlight was launched at Winter NAMM in Anaheim CA in January 2017, and immediately won ‘Best in Show’ from over 6,000 other music technology brands vying for the title.

Aston Microphones has had a meteoric rise over the past two years, with Coldplay, Stevie Wonder, Bryan Ferry and many more industry super-stars already using their equipment. Furthermore, if you take a glance at their Facebook page you will see they have amassed 44,000 likes and followers which is largely down to their expertise and creative outlook in the audio business.

European Circuits has been working closely with the Aston designers to maximise the DFM (design for manufacture) impact of Starlight. This has been a great example of what the ECL can offer prospective clients.  The entire microphone including all of the electronics and mechanical sub-assemblies is being produced at European Circuits’ Glasgow based facility.
