As past participants of the IOT World Congress, we are in a good position to give you some beneficial tips when visiting this October. Here are 5 things you should know before you go:

1- Testbeds

You will be able to experience live demonstrations of real world IOT, AI and Blockchain platforms . This year there will be 10 new selected testbeds, one per each vertical, in an exclusive area.

When we visited the testbeds last year we witnessed, at first hand, how the the latest technology can be usefully deployed in business. Furthermore, our creative minds were sparked into a frenzy as we contemplated the subsequent possibilities the cutting edge technology on show is going to create NOW, not in the future!

2- Deep Diving Technology Workshops

There will be three workshops available to interested participants. All three aim to give the relevant knowledge and tools to optimise the digital transformation of business. Plus participants will receive a fancy certificate from the Industrial Internet Consortium!

If the themes of the workshops do not get your attention, we are not sure what will. The themes are: ‘Deciphering AI,’ ‘Enabling IOT Startups – Technology & Business Foundations’ and ‘Digital Twin/Closed Loop PLM’.

We believe the workshops will be a great opportunity for people to get hands on, to get those thinking caps on and to basically learn and achieve tangible skills to take home from the congress.

Importantly, the workshops take place on Monday 15th October and are priced at 395 Euros. Visit Deep Diving Technology Workshops to register.

3- Facts and Figures

The event is somewhat of a global reference point for the IOT industry and it is set to be the biggest and most successful yet:

14,000 visitors (from 120 countries).

300 exhibitors, sponsors and partners.

32,000 m2 exhibiting space.

300 top level speakers.

There is a real sense of wonder as you walk about the exhibition, there is so much to see so give yourself enough time so you are not rushing through. There is a very detailed programme you can get which will help you to plot your journey.

4- Women Leadership

This year’s conference will also pay tribute to the contribution of women in these rapidly developing markets. The “Women Leadership in IOT” activity will consist of a panel discussion with women representing established corporations and startups. Following the discussion, lunch will be provided giving attendees the opportunity to connect and network with panelists.

5- Awards and network event

There will be an awards ceremony to pay tribute to the year’s most ground-breaking and influential projects. The four award categories ‘Industry Award’ , ‘Innovative Technology Award’, ‘Business Transformation Award’ and ‘Testbed Award’.

Furthermore there will be a matchmaking event which consists of pre-scheduled 30-minute meetings according to companies’ interests, objectives, and availability.

So much to do, so much to see, we can’t wait for it all to get underway!
